Skywatch Friday - Cold Morning

We had some freezing fog and a little snow yesterday, and it was extremely cold this morning (-12F or -24 C when I took this picture). But it made for a pretty pre-sunrise. The ice on the tree didn't show up as well as I hoped, but hopefully it illustrates the beauty of the cold morning.

    Maybe the tree didn't show up as you intended, but the silhouette against the early cold sunrise is outstanding!

    Great shot! You get some beautiful colors in those clear, cold skies out there. Hint: try a fill flash on shots like this.
