Although the rest of the week has been sunny, we had a freezing fog Sunday night that left ice on everything Monday morning. So this week's skies form the backdrop to the ice photos. taken before I went to work on Monday morning. Stay warm!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the tropical pictures on this week's Skywatch Friday.
These are absolutely amazing! I love the early light feeling ... cold at dawn. Very ethereal.
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos. And yes, pun intended.
ReplyDeleteFreezing fog! I don't even know about such things.
ReplyDeleteThe ice on your trees is so delicate and beautiful. Not like the smooth glaze I once saw on Arkansas trees.
Those photos are amazing the ice is so delicate. Hope spring's not long for you now but wrap up in the mean time xo
ReplyDeletePerfectly amazing! Extremely cool for sure :0D

ReplyDeleteBeautiful crystal shots! Glad you were able to enjoy our Pacific NW flowers!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of ice crystals on the twigs...I can just feel the cold and the wind that allowed those to form.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful frost pictures. That means a lot of moisture and very cold temps. Keep them there, I'm a little tired of the cold right now.
ReplyDeleteA few tulips and buds are pushing up from the ground...on the other front side of the Rockies..aka UTAH.Spring is coming, but late arriving in the mts.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent frost.. so magical.
ReplyDeleteCool! Isn't this known as some kind of frost when fog freezes. Can't remember the name for it though.
ReplyDeleteYou may not believe this, but I am jealous! With our unusually warm winter and early spring, I missed out on so much wintry beauty. I'm sorry people like you had to suffer for your art, but so glad you shared these lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThe foggy freeze pictures are beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I clicked on your blog from SWF because Colorado is a favorite State (although not necessarily in the Winter) and scrolling down a ways I was pleasantly surprised to see Seattle -- another fav -- as well. We were in Oregon until the first of February and had many more sunny days than we'd expected to have during the winter as well -- and it was warmer than it was in Florida.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all of the great pictures.
The frost is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of it right now, and you're welcome to some of our sun too. Wish we really could exchange a few degrees…
You have stunning photographs, I shall come back to visit again~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wind driven ice decorations on your trees. Lovely captures.
