In my part of the world, we just had one of our big spring storms. Down the hill in Colorado Springs it was rain, but the extra elevation meant that it was all snow at our house. It dumped 15 inches (38 cm) of heavy spring snow, making the local roads challenging until the plows cleared them; even my snowblower had trouble this time. But now it's sunny and warm again, and the snow is melting quickly. So here are a couple of photos I took this morning, one of the road after the plow went through, and one of our dog Socks on top of a pile of snow.

What an adorable little pooch! And the melting show piles at the edge of the road shot is wonderful. I love the perspective! And is it my imagination, or is that a blue tinge inside that pile of snow?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Love blue skies and snow! But right now I think I'd prefer just blue skies! Great shots, Al, and I love the one of Socks!! Hope you have a great week! Don't get stuck in the snow!!

These are incredible. Love 'em.
ReplyDeleteI like the way the clouds and the snow seem to press down on the sliver of clear road.
ReplyDeleteYou just can't put your heavy coats in the closet, can you? These are quite beautiful...I hope you like the snowy scenes too! Surely it is the last snow?!

ReplyDeleteYour snow made the news here with video of the plows at work! We get a major snow storm every 5 or 6 years. Three this winter set a record for number of storms and total snowfall.
ReplyDeleteI love your pup--what a cutie! That first photo made me take a double take! I thought at first, this was a beach picture with an extraordinary angle of sea foam. But you are in colorado! I was so taken with this photo--fills my eyes.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice, so good to have a dog as a friend.
