Scenic Sunday - Old Faithful

The classic scenic sight at Yellowstone is Old Faithful. We saw it go off twice, from different positions. These first two shots are from the main seating area, close to the geyser.
These next two are 90 minutes later from Geyser Hill, looking at Old Faithful from the opposite direction.
Geyser Hill will be a post of its own sometime in the future. Old Faithful was impressive, but there's so much more to the park than that.

  1. WOW! It's been so long since I have seen this! I've got to go back soon. What a brilliant blue sky to compliment this burst of water/steam!
I look forward to your next posts on Yellowstone.

Old faithful does seem to attract the most people, but your so right, there is way more to the park.

  5. Great shots of Old Faithful. I've only seen it on tv before. Don't want to walk too close to something like that :)

  11. I was there when I was 4 - just a couple of years ago, right? (since I've just passed the 20th anniversary of my 29th b-day!)

I still have vague memories of Old Faithful - and the bubbling mud pits. And the bear that raided our campsite, then tried to climb in the car with us!
