First Spring Wildflower

I saw the first wildflowers of the spring this weekend while hiking locally. I'm sure there are more at lower elevations, but I was pleased to find these nearby, and such a nice grouping in various stages of unfolding.

  6. These are the sorts of wildflowers one wants to have around. They look so sweet and fresh peeking out from the brown foliage of last winter.

  13. Well - you captured my favorite early spring wildflower, Al - the Pasque! They look so delicate but are so hardy!

  14. Even the color is delicate looking - but it does look as though these flowers had to work their way through some of Winter's leavings.

Thank you for visiting -- and I will be in CO this summer! I hope your visit is in August when we just might have some sunshine up here.

Hope to see you when you get a chance! ;-)
