Dubrovnik - Rector's Palace

I hope you're enjoying the old Dubrovnik slides, because here's another one. It's one of the few from within the city that's worth posting, the Rector's Palace. I was an inexperienced photographer at this point in my young life, so many of the city shots are marginal, but this one was okay after a little work with the GIMP photo editing program.

  1. What a fantastic old building and I love your capture -- of course, that's nothing new!! But you did quite well as a young photographer!! I just looked up and out the windows over my desk and the sun is shining brilliantly and it is POURING rain???? Hope you and Socks have a great day tomorrow, Al!

  4. I know well this building.
I live in South of Italy, in Bari, almost in front of this city and I saw it many times.
    Compliments for your shot.

  6. This shot is more than merely OK. It's very good. The tones and textures are excellent and the color is just right. I suggest you try a crop from the left, say between the two windows. You don't need the sliver of the person on the edge and the crop will give the seated man the importance he deserves in this image.

Thanks for your visit and kind words.
