I love airplanes, so it's surprising I haven't taken many photos of them. For Our World Tuesday, as well as for Tina's PicStory theme of "A" this week, here are a couple of photos from the Wings Over The Rockies museum in Denver. First is a B2 bomber, mounted outside the museum. My ultrawide lens makes it appear much smaller than it is - this is huge!
And here's an overview of some of the planes inside the museum, which basically consists of one large hanger.
One of the unusual things about this museum is that you walk right in among the planes, so you can look right into the engines, bomb bays, and get some great closeups. I've got several more shots from here that I want to post.
Liking planes so much, do you fly? The Prof finally relinquished his pilot's licence last year.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Al, I really like the angle you have chosen for the first one.

A B-52 is huge, I've been up close to one at the USAF-SAC museum in Omaha, and big is hardly a word when describing this - huge is more like it! The hangar shaped museum looks excellent with its many exhibits!
ReplyDeletehehehe, I have a similar photo for my Sunday stills.
