Here are some fresh photos (within the last hour) of our recent 11 inch (28 cm) snowfall - first looking at our yard.
But drive a couple of minutes to the local park and then the snow's beauty really comes to life. I don't think anybody will be using this picnic table today!
I saw cross-country skiers and snowshoers - I'd love to do both of those things one of these years.
And of course those incredible Colorado blue skies.
This is the way our weather usually goes around here - brief but sometimes intense storms, but once they move out the blue skies are back. And that's my (early) entry for Our World Tuesday this week.
Oh, Al! How beautiful it is!! Cold and sometimes messy, but still awesome when it's fresh! Your captures and fantastic! How does Socks feel about it? I know Sam didn't like feeling the cold snow on his belly -- particularly since he's so close to the ground -- like Socks!! Enjoy the beauty, stay safe and have a great Super Bowl Sunday!!

meravigliose,danno un senso di relax!!!
ReplyDeleteSkiing has never appealed to me, even when I lived in the mountains many years ago. I do enjoy it when it falls gently and piles up, unlike ours that usually comes in sideways and covers things in drifts.♥♫
ReplyDeleteIn my country it is snowing so much, I love the snow and your photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteP. S. See me there's a prize for you
Now thats what i call snow, not the measly 2 inches that brings the south of UK to a standstill !! Nice pics.
ReplyDeletehow beautiful! have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThat snow captured in your photos is so beautiful with those blue skies above you certainly live in a great place. I went cross country skiing in Norway, hard work but huge fun.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful winter shots. That is lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteCan't say how much I love these images. Miss winter and snow much. Yesterday there were nearly 70F during midday.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Tuesday.
Just beautiful! Our CO kids snowshoe!
ReplyDeleteLots of snow! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks so light and fluffy! I know the Colorado mountain regions were hoping for asignificant snowfall as their totals are low this winter--hope they get some soon!
ReplyDeleteOH that looks so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Our son told us that a week ago the snow started falling in Holland too. (he arrived in Oct.) And his job is to deliver mail -now in the snow -quite an adjustment for a Californian kid:)
ReplyDeleteThat is deep. And beautiful! Though perhaps not a comfortable place to stand still in too long.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I spent a short time in Ohio in the winter a few years ago - I had one day like this - it was remarkable! Thanks for reminding me!

I'm sure not many people would think to use that park bench! Gorgeous photos...especially love the scenery that is untouched by people :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wintery captures, Al and I love it! It has snowing here in Holland, but not so much as over there...
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Holland,
Anna :-))

ReplyDeleteNew York City
Really gorgeous to those of us who don't deal with snow ... just look at all the pretty pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures!! And you have got snow, hurray! =)) Nice to see where you're living..
ReplyDeleteThe snow is so beautiful in your photos!
ReplyDeleteI realized while reading about the cold snap up north that, despite everything, I would rather have our heat - for the simple reason that it's easier to survive it.
What wonderful captures of weather, mood and contrasts.
ReplyDeletewish we had some snow too : )
