Word Verification Back On

I tried turning the comment word verification off yesterday to see how it would go (I've had people indicate it's causing them trouble). Unfortunately, within a few hours I already had several spam comments, including links to pornographic sites and fake sites to sell assorted products. As a result, I've decided to turn the word verification back on. My blogging time is limited and I don't want to spend it sorting though spam comments. I apologize for the inconvenience, as these spammers really frustrate me and take some of the joy out of blogging. But I really enjoy my real readers' comments so please keep them coming!

Maybe blogger can come up with a better spam filter...

  1. I'm so sorry you've had so much trouble with spammers! I haven't had more than two or three in three years. Guess I've just been lucky! I surely don't blame you for putting word verification back on and it certainly won't keep me from visiting/commenting as always.

  4. OH!! I'm so sorry to hear! Well, I guess Blogger has a very good reason for having the spam codes.. Not all getting spam, but of those who do.. it's a problem.. To me I can read the difficult codes ok.. :)Not every time though.. but most.. But I must admit they ar more difficult to read.. but one must, one must, and it goes fine to me :)
