Wildfire

There's a nasty wildfire on the west side of our city. It's burned 2,500 acres, and over 7,000 people have been evacuated, including some within Colorado Springs city limits. We can only hope that the weather forecast is wrong - it's supposed to be a windy day with record heat.
This photo was taken near our house, which is on the other side of town from the fire. The office where I work is within the evacuation zone.

  2. Thank you so much for the update - I'm so glad you're out of harm's way!!! I was concerned!

I hear the fire may have started in Waldo Canyon ... and it's made the news here in Oregon.

My thoughts and prayers are still with the people in Colorado ... and the critters I hear are running through parts of town trying to escape the fire.

If I could I would send you some of our rain. We've had a wet wet wet time of it here, with more rain on the way this week. Sigh.

  6. Since every thing weather wise seems to be early this year, let's hope the monsoons come sooner, too. The fires are so terrible and man just can not get ahead. Be safe.♥♫
