He looks like he has a full load on his back. Are those symbols on the pillar words? Or do they stand for something that would explain the significance? Oh well, it is a very interesting installation whatever its meaning.

Doesn't matter, we'd of forgotten the story also, but that is a memorable statue. I'll remember it.
