This may be pushing the Camera Critters meme a little (but it certainly qualifies for Scenic Sunday), but there are rocks in Garden of the Gods that clearly resemble animals. This one is called Kissing Camels.
And this one is unofficially called Snoopy Rock - can you see Snoopy laying on his back on his doghouse?
There are lots of interesting and fun things to see in the Garden of the Gods!
I do love your magnificent stone critters for the day, Al! That is such a gorgeous place and I love your blue, blue skies! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Give Socks a pat from Sam and I!
ReplyDeleteLove the "nature's rock art!"
ReplyDeleteSnoopy?....Oh, now I can!

▒✿ Olá!
Realmente as imagens são muito parecidas, como se fossem esculpidas nas rochas.
Bom fim de semana!

We loved Garden of the Gods and I remember both those formations. Kissing camels was one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was born in the Springs, and we've been there many-a-times in our 40+ years marriage. Did you see the area AFTER the fires this Spring?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting landscape
ReplyDeleteBoth aptly named. Always nice when bloggers think outside the box.
ReplyDeleteps....thanks for the link to the wild-fire post. That is tragic yet still amazing to see all the destruction [and that image you posted of the charred book page...poignant really].
ReplyDeleteHow neat! They work as Camera Critters to me! :-)
ReplyDeleteCool rock formations and lovely scenery. Great shots, Al!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're pushing hard Camera Critters, because yours have hearts of stone! But they are also cute and the photos are great.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful photos, Al!
ReplyDeleteThese trees on the second photo are gorgeous. What is the species?
Looks cedars...
How fun to see, unique rocks to me..
ReplyDeleteI do see the camels, but I cannot find Snoopy.. has he jumped away somewhere..?? ;D
