Curvy Lightning

I didn't get as many lightning photos last summer as I wanted, but fortunately I have several that I haven't posted yet. Here's one of them taken from our deck.

    Oh, WOW!! What an awesome, scary lightening shot, Al!! Terrific! Storms like these really spook Sam Schnauzer -- do they bother Socks?? Hope your week is going well!

    Wow, great capture! I've never shot lightning before but I'm assuming it's a difficult subject to master. There's not a lot of lightning here in western Oregon.

    Wow! Just stunning lightning photo, Al! I agree with you, fortunately it hit behind that house, not on the house.

    Love the plant on the left of the path of that house, too. I think it is "Cycas revoluta (sago cycad, Japanese sago palm), is a species of gymnosperm in the family Cycadaceae, native to southern Japan."

    Ah Al, you and your magnificent lightning shots - the Blogosphere would be bereft without them!

    Bet the folks living in that house got a bit of an adrenaline hit when that lightning bolt struck so nearby! I can almost feel and hear the crackle of it!
