A couple of weeks ago I posted photos from a trail to an abandoned settlement, Greenwood Park. Here are some shadowy shots from the actual settlement. All that's left of this cabin is the chimney.
The trees are growing in what used to be this building.
Apparently they had piped water.
This used to be a bridge.
And I'm guessing this was a common building. There are remnants of an electrical box in this so it must be 20th century.

It looks as if was built to last - as long as the roof was kept up. I don't know why it was abandoned, but perhaps the builder could not extract riches from the hillside any more. The mystery of the house offers us lots of intrigue...
