One World Trade Center

As luck would have it, low clouds obscured the skyscrapers the day I was in lower Manhattan a couple of weeks ago. But I'll take whatever photos I get, so here's One World Trade Center (formerly known as the Freedom Tower), vanishing in the clouds. It's an obvious Skywatch Friday entry.
The last time I was on this site was almost exactly one month before the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

  3. What an awesome capture, Al!! A day none of us will ever forget! A friend that I was visiting knocked on my door that morning, tears in her eyes and told me to turn on the TV. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!!
Hope your week is going well!!

  4. Oh! This is an instant lump in the throat post. Beautiful picture. So interesting your personal story of being there such a short time before the tragedy. It really brings it home doesn't it?

  7. «Louis» can imagine how you must have felt standing there, knowing you had been at that location so close to the time of that horrible attack.

    Great geometry in this shot!
