I'm still catching up on old photos, which is good since I haven't had a chance to take many the last few weeks. This time it's another city park.
But although the rocks may be similar, it's not Garden of the Gods!
It's Red Rock Canyon, a good place to go in the winter since it's low elevation and doesn't hold too much snow. In fact, maybe Socks and I will head down there tomorrow as these photos are already a year old!
I always love the colors of the stones etc. in the parks in Colorado! So beautiful, Al!! Wonderful captures!! Hope you and Socks have a great day!! Give him a pat for me! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAll that red rock is fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThe rock tones and snow are an intriguing combination. Delightful photos.
ReplyDeleteI bet that has some great light for pics Al. You have red rocks like us :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteYa gotta love the red rocks of the southwest -- I can never see enough. I recommend Sedona, AZ for breathtaking rocks.
ReplyDeletebeautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteThe kids take us to places like this when we visit because they're beautiful and because being a little lower, as you say, they think there's a better chance we'll survive the walk. Gorgeous pictures -- we loved that place.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
ReplyDeleteA bit different from trekking through Regents Park over at my place!!
I love the vivid orange color of the rocks! Breathtaking Al . Hope you are having a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteFascinating rocks! Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely gorgeous!!! I love those orange cliffs and the detail of snow...beautiful.
ReplyDeleteReally nice photos Al! (as always). As coincidence would have it, I just got back from Red Rock Canyon also. Of course, it was the one in California and not Colorado.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, as always, Al!
ReplyDeleteYes, Red Rock Canyon looks like Garden of the Gods.
