Pfalzgrafenstein Castle
The only notes I have on this 1976 slide from Germany say "De Pfalz." But a quick internet search turns up an article about what turns out to be Pfalzgrafenstein Castle, which was started in 1326!
Love the castles on the Rhein and Mosel rivers. This one has a particularly interesting history since it collected tolls for the king of Bavaria and was never meant to be lived in by the owner. We were on sabbatical in Bonn at the time you took this shot, who knows, we may have crossed paths . . .
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment - I love reading them and look forward to viewing your blog. If you only allow Google+ comments I won't be able to leave a comment in return.
