Rüdesheim, Germany

It's been too long since I joined the Vintage Weekly meme, so here's a 1977 photo of vineyards in Rüdesheim, Germany.

    Lovely shot and spot Al. We lived in Köln and Bonn in the days when one could afford a 6month, first class Eurail Pass. We certainly made good use of it both on the trains and Rhein and Mosel cruisers.

    Yes Al, it is lovely, but i can't see the start of the branches. Do they prune the plant just leaving the main trunk? I haven't seen vineyards.
