Here's a hike up Muscoco Mountain, in another of our incredible city parks. It starts by crossing this stream.
Socks was leading the way up the mountain (this was before we got Laika).
It was steep.
But the views made it all worthwhile.
The mountains seem to go on forever. (The city is in the opposite direction.)
Any way you looked was beautiful.
I always love the pine trees that cover our mountains.
Socks was proud to have made it to the top!
And that's my weekly entry for Our World Tuesday; the blue skies make it a good entry for Blue Monday.
What a fabulous hike!

Hi Al,
ReplyDeleteYes, those Colorado blue skies are perfect for Blue Monday, and Socks is a delight. My grandson is spending the summer in Colorado, working as a camp counselor. He sends so many shots of the gorgeous views. Thanks for making Blue Monday special by sharing this.
I'm looking forward to reading your comment on my blue post. Please come back.
Have a Beautiful Blue Monday!
Socks seems to have a very satisfied grin on his face.
ReplyDeletethe hike is undoubtedly doubly enjoyable because of Socks' company. what a cutie pie.
ReplyDeleteLovely views. A great virtual tour for me. I like the last 'top of the world' look! :)
ReplyDeleteAs well that Socks should be proud!!! The air is so very thin up there at that elevation.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes.
Wow! What a great place is Muscoco Mountain. Stunning view!
ReplyDeleteLovely Socks seems to had a great time with you. Many kisses to him!
Nice stream. You captures so much motion and emotion in that one frame.
ReplyDeleteGr8 Photos!! Continue The Journey!!! Cheers
ReplyDeleteI don't know about everything else, but Colorado Springs has the BEST city parks in the country (if not the world).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of an amazing place Al.
A very lovely landscape to conquer, i hope your dog is not so tired. That is a long journey for it. I envy people like you with areas like these nearby, and temperatures allowing long distances without getting so exhaused. And most importantly, i love those flowing waters, to cross and to shoot.
ReplyDeleteI love my home state so it is always fun to see what others think too! A hike is good for the soul and Socks looks like it was a grand time! Thank you for sharing as I am catching up from last week's Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteIndeed a beautiful spot, well worth the climb!
