Trains Passing

Last year we took the cog railroad up Pikes Peak, and these are the last worthwhile photos that I haven't posted from that trip. This is where the uphill and downhill trains pass each other, above treeline.

  6. Beautiful photos!
Back in the 80s, I took a trip on a similar train, in India and that's a lot of fun.
Thanks for reminding me of that through you blog post!
    Have a Great Week!!
    Peace :)

  8. We have yet to go up Pike's Peak and my husband and I were debating whether to drive up or take the cog railroad. The rail looks like fun but I think the drive might win out in the end.

  9. I've always wanted to take this cog RR to the top of Pike's Peak even though there is little air at the top. Always feel better after returning to the bottom.

  12. Hi Al
Thanks for the info about traveling up Pike's Peak. My husband and I drove up to the top of Mt. Evans last summer so we think we can handle the drive.up, and as you said it will give us the opportunity to stop along the way to take photos. I'm impressed that you've hiked a few 14 'ers! I get pout of breath hiking up a couple hundred feet ;)
