When hiking in Horsethief Park I came across the following little shelter.

  2. A fascinating hideaway Al - and I bet there's an interesting story behind the name of the Park!

  3. Love the shadows here, but glad I don't have to rely on this structure for shelter.

  4. Someone likes to take a minimal shelter in the wilds. Very cute.

  6. I have one of these close to my house - made by children as a teepee fort, I guess. Tried to hike a trail near our house this AM - still too much snow.

  7. That is an interesting shelter to come upon , Al. Did you dare walk in it? I'd be worried those tree trunks might fall on my head!

  10. Beautiful picture -- I am always amazed at how lovely nature can look in B&W ... I shouldn't be surprised -- I've seen Ansel Adams work at the National Park, but I still am. You are very good at this.
