For Skywatch Friday, here are a couple of shots of Rockefeller Center in New York City.

St. Patrick's Cathedral

While in New York I visited St. Patrick's Cathedral. All photos are taken handheld without flash.

It's as beautiful as you'd think.

It's an active place of worship.

The cathedral was completed in 1878.

There are many things to see.

And don't forget to look up!

The stained glass is worth a look.

For Skywatch Friday, here are some late-day views of the Hudson River from the High Line Park in New York City.

New York High Line

The High Line is a park in New York City that runs along abandoned elevated railroad tracks.

It's a popular place and goes through a couple of buildings.

I took the opportunity to walk most of its length a couple of weeks ago when I was in the city.

I was intrigued by some of the artwork.

I definitely recommend it as a place to see if you're in the area.
