Over the July 4th weekend I went for a little hike in North Cheyenne Canyon, a city park.
I liked this tree root growing out of the mountainside.
Of course I had my furry friends with me - here's little Laika ready to climb some stairs. They get so excited when they see me getting my hiking stuff ready!
Hello, looks like a nice hike, pretty scenery. Laika is a cutie! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how trees can find a place for their roots even when there is no dirt (or very little dirt)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week-end!
Fantastic captures.
ReplyDeleteThose are what I call killer steps where coming down them is harder than going up. The idea that your babies get so excited when they see your hiking stuff coming out is sososo cute. I cannot say the same for me when Bud gets his out. He might as well just leave his out because he is always hiking. He just left to drive an hour and a half away, spend the nite in a motel, and hike all day tomorrow. I am at home in my comfy chair :-) genie
ReplyDeleteWe've been here a few times...just beautiful
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful location for a city park!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place to be outdoors on a sunny day. Clearly Laika wants to take in the view too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very nice hike.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteMonika.
Looks like a beautiful place to hike and it's even better if you can share it with your friends.
ReplyDeletewow- those stairs are a bit daunting- especially going down them! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteLaika does look excited!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it in rich countries that just a slight incline like that will already be provided with those wood stairs, for safety of hikers. In New Zealand, even just short inclines are placed with handles and mess wires on the walk to limit sliding. In poor countries like ours, we just get envious of yours, hehe.
ReplyDeleteAmazing...I would love to hike those areas!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Al!
ReplyDeleteLaika is always lovely!
