Charleston - Custom House & Market

This post will highlight a couple of the most famous buildings in Charleston. First is the United States Customs House.
Completed in 1879, it's one of the city's most distinctive buildings.
I loved this tree in the side yard - there's nothing like this where I live.
The City Market is a bustling place with lots of vendors selling things to tourists, and definitely worth a look.

  6. Our old government buildings are like that US Custom House. Of course because we have been colonized by those who relate to this building.

And yes, i guess if you will be in our coldest temp here as in 18-19°C, you will start melting, hehehe! But in the Cordillera, our highlands, we have subtropical weather. So many of the places there have English names because the American colonizers go there to have some respite from the heat during those times.

  8. Oh what a lovely preview of the city. It's one of the cities that hit my radar, but I don't know if there's any chance I would get there, so thanks for this preview.

  9. I would like to take a look at the City Market. By the way, I was reading an article by Food & Wine where they place Charleston as one of the best food cities in the world.
