Pacific Coast Highway (2)

Here are some more shots from a drive along the Pacific Coast Highway in California.
Along this stretch is the famous Bixby Creek Bridge.
Here's a close-up of it.
A few flowers were out while I was there.
It's certainly a rugged coastline!

  1. It really is (rugged) ... the Atlantic Ocean (at least the parts we've seen) just doesn't compare.

  2. I have seen this bridge in many Hollywood films and advertisements. You have photographed it well.

  3. Nice photos Al! That coastline is the most amazing I've ever seen.
Too bad the road is still closed. They hope to open it up again this year.

  6. Given a choice between the I-5 freeway and the Pacific Coast Highway, I always chose the coast if I had time. Now that I live in southeastern Alberta, I am very glad I have a dear friend who lives on the Oregon Coast. I used to visit my family in southwestern BC, then go down to Oregon to enjoy that magnificent rugged coastline on my way to visit my parents on Mexico's Baja Peninsula. Oh, the good old days! Thanks for the memories, Al.

  9. I love this kind of rugged coastline. Even if it is very hard to get down to the water :)
