Given a choice between the I-5 freeway and the Pacific Coast Highway, I always chose the coast if I had time. Now that I live in southeastern Alberta, I am very glad I have a dear friend who lives on the Oregon Coast. I used to visit my family in southwestern BC, then go down to Oregon to enjoy that magnificent rugged coastline on my way to visit my parents on Mexico's Baja Peninsula. Oh, the good old days! Thanks for the memories, Al. Kay An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel

Love the coastline photos!
ReplyDeleteIt really is (rugged) ... the Atlantic Ocean (at least the parts we've seen) just doesn't compare.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this bridge in many Hollywood films and advertisements. You have photographed it well.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Al! That coastline is the most amazing I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the road is still closed. They hope to open it up again this year.
Love the wild rocky coast!
ReplyDeleteTruly Beautiful views. My favorite 2, 4 no pic.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shots from Big Sur. :)

They did a pretty nice job of incorporating the bridge into the landscape! Lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of rugged coastline. Even if it is very hard to get down to the water :)
