Point Lobos Coast & Trees

To finish up my series on Point Lobos in California, here are some general photos.
I'll never tire of shorelines like this.
What a wonderful, rugged coastline!
I also loved seeing the trees here as they're so different from the dry climate where I live.
There's plenty of moss.
What a lot of green!

  3. I normally see sandy shores from pictures there, where they all sunbathe and frolic in the sand. I also prefer shores with character like those you showed. We have lots of them here as we are an archipelago.

  7. Definitely a different environment from what I'm used to seeing on your blog. I especially like the coastal scene where there is an arch made of stone. Looks like a wonderful place to explore.

  8. A beautiful part of California. Like my dear friend "Penelope Puddle" above, I love the photo with the arch. For many years she and I lived near one another on the wet coast of southwestern British Columbia, where the weather is damp and rocks have lichen on them, along with seaweed coming in and out on the tide.
Thanks for your photos and the unexpected memories.

  9. Love Point Lobos! I think it is one of the most beautiful places in California (and that is a strong statement). I need to go back since I wasn't able to stay for long when I visited. You can spend a day walking and hiking.

  10. So incredibly lovely -- it's really fun to see in person the contrast between parts of the US too!! One of the best parts of travel for us.
