Foggy SF Sky
From last year's trip to California, here's a leftover Skywatch Friday photo from a hotel window. I posted a photo taken a few minutes earlier from the same place a few months ago...
The iconic Transamerica Pyramid building is distinctive San Francisco. I use to know a fellow who worked on this building during construction. He said the white stone surface is designed to be shed in the event of a serious earthquake. Would not want to be anywhere near with stone slabs falling 48 stories if that happened.
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment - I love reading them and look forward to viewing your blog. If you only allow Google+ comments I won't be able to leave a comment in return.
Imagine only having the bottom floor on a big hotel like that? Would kinda stink
ReplyDeleteTruly amazing view.

ReplyDeleteNice shot of the city! I'm in Marin
ReplyDeleteThe light over the city is almost eerie, but it's beautiful.
