Nijō Castle (2)

Here are more shots of the Nijō Castle (二条城 Nijō-jō) gardens, which include some pretty lakes.
Everything's kept up beautifully.
There's an impressive gate...
or two.
And what would a castle be without a moat?
This is definitely one of Kyoto's must-see sights.

  2. Beautiful.
    Beautiful sharing.
On the bench, despite its appearance, it's really good to sit down.
    The spine is straight.
Thank you for your presence in the house.
Good entry for the month of November.

  5. Every temple and castle in Japan seems to have a beautiful gate. I probably should know the reason behind this, but I don't. I do know they are beautiful and I think it would make me feel as if I were entering a peaceful and secret place to which I had been given entry.
