Snow in the Park

If you saw my blog yesterday you'll know we had some snow; we ended up with about 7 inches, or almost 18cm of the stuff. In the afternoon the clouds cleared up and we had some blue skies, so I took our 4 wheel drive to our local park for some photos. I was pleased to see that the aspen trees still had some leaves, making for some wonderful color.
This is the same place where I posted last week's photos, and it's my entry of Our World Tuesday.

  11. The snow with the autumn leaves is stunning.

  12. When leaves still hang on the trees, fresh snow in autumn can make lovely reflections over a park lake … but it must so be rather chilly for this time of year!

  13. Snow??
I remember this lake in a more summery guise. This makes for a beautiful and unique combination.

  14. That's what it's all about! Beautiful beautiful Colorado. We won't be there until November -- hoping for a little color still (and not a lot of snow).

  16. When it snows up your way, it really snows. The white mantle really shows the fall colours to advantage and it is so nice to have the extra benefit of the reflections on the open water.

  19. Just beautiful photo but makes me wonder, you said in Sonia`s blog that you have nine months snow. I can believe, when I see this, but I would like to ask, is this now staying and increasing slowly as we have for six months during winters or is your snowy days occasionally?
How high is this snowy place?

  22. Snow, huh? Such a rarity in most places downunder in OZ! I've only ever seen it 2 or 3 times ... so your pix are amazingly exotic!!

  23. Hi there - what a great combination of seasons and colours.
For some reason (possibly two small kids!) I did not make it up to our snow this year - next winter!

  25. Very pretty, interesting that you get snow so early. At least your able to cope with it, where as here we can get one flake and the entire country grinds to a halt. 7 inches, I am sure your bound for more, we had 22-25 inches last year and that was unusual even for us.
