If you saw my blog yesterday you'll know we had some snow; we ended up with about 7 inches, or almost 18cm of the stuff. In the afternoon the clouds cleared up and we had some blue skies, so I took our 4 wheel drive to our local park for some photos. I was pleased to see that the aspen trees still had some leaves, making for some wonderful color.
This is the same place where I posted last week's photos, and it's my entry of Our World Tuesday.
Oh, Al! These are awesome captures! The colorful trees are perfect with the snow, but not something you see often! I'm sure you and Socks had a terrific outing!! I'm envious!! Have a great evening! Pats to Socks from Sam and me!

Fantastic winter images. That is lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! And we are enjoying a heat wave here in central Canada, wearing short sleeves!
ReplyDeleteThe snow with the autumn leaves is stunning.
ReplyDeleteWhen leaves still hang on the trees, fresh snow in autumn can make lovely reflections over a park lake … but it must so be rather chilly for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteSnow??
ReplyDeleteI remember this lake in a more summery guise. This makes for a beautiful and unique combination.
That's what it's all about! Beautiful beautiful Colorado. We won't be there until November -- hoping for a little color still (and not a lot of snow).
ReplyDeleteThis is awesum!
ReplyDeleteThe autumn collours with the snow... blue sky... mmmm
Greetings from Holland,
Anna ;-))
When it snows up your way, it really snows. The white mantle really shows the fall colours to advantage and it is so nice to have the extra benefit of the reflections on the open water.
ReplyDeleteWow - snow, sun and those gorgeous autumn colours make for some stunning photos!
ReplyDeleteincredible, we are still awaiting the arrival of fall colors here in california and you've got yourself some snow already :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful photo but makes me wonder, you said in Sonia`s blog that you have nine months snow. I can believe, when I see this, but I would like to ask, is this now staying and increasing slowly as we have for six months during winters or is your snowy days occasionally?
ReplyDeleteHow high is this snowy place?

Snow, huh? Such a rarity in most places downunder in OZ! I've only ever seen it 2 or 3 times ... so your pix are amazingly exotic!!
ReplyDeleteHi there - what a great combination of seasons and colours.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason (possibly two small kids!) I did not make it up to our snow this year - next winter!
Cheers - Stewart M - Australia
There's snow with midday sunshine... Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, interesting that you get snow so early. At least your able to cope with it, where as here we can get one flake and the entire country grinds to a halt. 7 inches, I am sure your bound for more, we had 22-25 inches last year and that was unusual even for us.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are fantastically beautiful ..... even the leaves on the trees and it has already snowed ... fascinating ....
