For this week's Tina's PicStory theme of "leafs" as well as my weekly Our World Tuesday post, here's a photo from the middle of October showing a river of bright yellow aspen leaves, taken on a hike above the Palmer Lake Reservoirs.
Of course, these bright colors are long-gone.
What an amazing capture, Al! I love all that gold nestled among the evergreens! Superb! Hope you have a great day!

I love the way the splashes of yellow create rivers of color through the green.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to pick out the Aspen from the other trees!
ReplyDeleteThe thread of gold passing through the green adds such a lovely contrast of color to the forest environment. :)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely capture - how pretty and stark!
ReplyDeleteThe Rockies offer a sea of green, the evergreens predominate. However, the brilliant aspen appears as a rapids flowing strongly through the sea. It stands out for sure!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Our World Tuesday ...it was so nice to see the Aspens looking so healthy! I know form my kids who both live in Colorado that there was concern about them, and pine trees not doing well the past few seasons.
ReplyDeletegreat shot! the different colors look really wonderful. thanks for sharing with picstory :)
ReplyDeleteJust lovely and a wonderful view of the Aspens. One of my favorite trees. Have a great week and Happy THanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love this river of gold!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, like a golden waterfall!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely designer yellow patch in the between the greesns.
ReplyDeleteI guess they're just waiting for someone who would capture them before they'll be gone...it's lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful, if the same scene is here that means the trees are dying or infected because our trees are green all the time.
ReplyDeleteOh wow this is remarkable! Thanks for the visit!
ReplyDeletewhat an interesting picture and lovely colours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative and colourful pic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shot. The aspens looks like a river of gold flowing through the evergreens.
ReplyDeleteYou are far up here.. and had a fantastic view to the forest! So fun to see all the yellow deciduous trees among the spruce trees (I hope you can understand my English.. this is good training to me..!)
