Here are my last worthwhile photos of Corsica. Much of the island is mountainous, and I remember getting very carsick on this bus trip, so I believe my father probably took these shots with my camera.
These are also just about the last of my ancient, discolored prints. From here on any scans I post are either from slides, or from more recent prints that are in much better shape. A couple of years ago I spent a couple of weekends scanning in every photo I've ever taken, so I've got lots of them!
I'm so glad you shared these with us, Al! More great shots of Corsica! I can understand your being carsick!! Hope your weekend is going well! Give Socks a hug from Sam and I!

I love looking at mountains, but don't like traveling through them. such spectacular views!
ReplyDeleteI love Corsica!
ReplyDeleteI get carsick in the mountains, too. But the view is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteit is hard to get them all scanned in with as much detail as possible and on a big machine. we just took some old family photos in to digmypics and they have a super expensive scanner and the results were good i might try to scan in some of my travel photos with them and see if the quality is better. my little scanner quality was not good enough but these older photos have such history to them.
ReplyDeletegood shoots, very natural!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I can easily imagine getting carsick on that bus!
ReplyDeleteSo many mountains but I can never have enough so thanks for these as I have never been to Corsica. The ancientness of these matters not a jot.
ReplyDeleteYou've been to some wonderful places. But honestly I am most impressed today that you actually scanned all your photos. I'm glad, because your past travels are fun to read about. Would you want to come scan our albums in your spare time ;>)
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, in another world.. of stones.. and mountains.. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say also: abut Socks in the mountains, post from 2010.. Oh what a wonderful dog and picture! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip! I don't blame you for getting a little queasy - but all of those people getting out of their vehicles and hanging out on the road next to the cliffs ... well, I think I'd stay on the bus!!!
