This week's theme at Tina's PicStory is "A Walk In The Park," and I think one of the best city parks I've ever seen is Vancouver's Stanley Park. So here are a couple of shots of rainforest growth that I took on a trail in that park last May. It's also a wonderful part of Our World Tuesday.
This is a large and varied park, and I've got more photos to come.
Looks like a great park, Al! I look forward to seeing more of your photos! A wonderful look at your world today!

thanks for sharing this beautiful park with us. the tree in the second one is amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful Park and it's been too long since we've been to Vancouver/Victoria -- used to be one of our favorite getaway places when we lived in Oregon. (Now when we get back to Oregon in the summer, we just stay there -- I love it, but we've got to revisit some of our old favorites like this area too!)
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots from the park. Nice greenery.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. The impression so far is of a park far more wild than any I've seen here in the UK. I would love to visit Vancouver some day.
ReplyDeleteRain forests are filled with wonders and velvety coverings of mosses is just one of them. The bent trees are like sculptures and don't you just love the smell of a rain forest?
ReplyDeleteThe rich green moss gives us a glimpse of the deep dense moist undergrowth......I can almost smell the woody air.
ReplyDeleteI am loving that moss - though not so much all the rain that helped produce it!
ReplyDeleteA lovely walk in your park. The second shot of the tree and moss is just gorgeous. Wonderful photos, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI like a troll in a park that has a level and wide walkway surrounded with a very un-cultivated forest. The fallen trees and trunks full of moss are wonderful as they are not at all cultivated. These views allow the viewers to feel as if they are actually there!
ReplyDeleteLove those mossy branches!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour photo with the green lichen or moss. The detail is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like the old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest. I love the lush green moss and lichens but your b/w photo is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove the growth of mosses on the tree, Al!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful green colors and habitat...
Greetings from Holland,
Anna :-))
Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteWould love to be lost there!
ReplyDeleteLove the moss on the "octopus" tree! You're a traveling man, Al!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at those moss that hugging around the tree trunk,
ReplyDeletesuperb photos!!
ReplyDeleteI've been there and Stanley park is an amazing place to visit. - Margy
ReplyDeleteWoW!! the last one here!! Incredible!! =) I like the way you have angled the tree!
ReplyDeleteThe first one I get a good *feeling* with.. :)
These are beautiful photos love the snow one but the amazing tree is also rather delightful too. What a great park.
