Here's the last of the leftover photos from a trip to San Francisco. This latest series were all taken at China Beach. I must admit, this is one of my favorite shots.

Another San Fran Beach Shot
We had some fresh snow on our local mountain over the weekend. But I didn't get any photos of it, so my Skywatch Friday shot is another leftover from a San Francisco beach.

Lands End
Here are some shots from a little off the San Francisco tourist track. It's the Lands End park, on the Pacific Ocean side of the Golden Gate Bridge, and it includes the Sutro Bath ruins shown here.
It's a very pretty park with lovely trails and trees.
The coastline is fairly rugged.
If you're lucky, the famous bridge will show itself through the mist.
The fog came and went for us.

San Francisco Cruise Photos
I'm back, and I'll post some photos from a San Francisco Bay cruise, starting with the skyline.
I love San Francisco and I'll never tire of visiting.
Of course the cruise went under the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Approaching with some high fog...
...passing underneath...
...and coming out on the Pacific Ocean side.

Charleston Bridge
I always like photographing bridges, and so here's the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
And of course I had to get it with a ship in the frame - two impressive human creations.

And simply because this seems to be a water-themed post, here's a shot of one of the many rivers in the area, I don't remember exactly which one.

Rock City Bridges
Here are the last photos from my series on Rock City, this time focusing on bridges.
It's fun to walk on the trails across these bridges, whether they're stone or wood.
It was a good visit to this tourist attraction!

Nighttime World Trade Center Views
Here are my favorite photos from the top of One World Trade Center a few weeks ago; all were taken hand-held through the building's glass. The city lights seem to go on forever.
The classic view is to the north with the Empire State Building standing out.
Every way you look there's something interesting.
As it's on the island of Manhattan there is water in every direction.
To the south is the Upper Bay, at the end of which is the famous Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, seen here. Beyond that is the Lower Bay and finally the Atlantic Ocean.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour for the Our World Tuesday meme.

Zeelandbrug (Zeeland Bridge)
Another of my shots from 1970s Holland, this is the Zeeland Bridge, a little over 5 km (3 miles) long.

Golden Gate Skies
For Skywatch Friday, here are a couple more shots from the Golden Gate Bridge from a 2013 trip.
These blue San Francisco skies were wonderful!
I'll be taking a short blogging break to spend time with family over Thanksgiving - I'll start posting again after the long holiday weekend!

Golden Gate Bridge
From a trip to San Francisco a year ago, here are some shots of the famous Golden Gate Bridge.
It spans a lot of water - this is very obvious when walking on it.
And it carries a lot of traffic, although not on this day.
Finally, here's a view from the bridge towards Horseshoe Bay.

Vincent Thomas Bridge from USS Iowa
When we were in Los Angeles last summer I visited the battleship USS Iowa, which is now open to the public. I'll be posting photos from this over the next few weeks, but I'm starting with one of the Vincent Thomas Bridge, taken from the deck of the famous battleship.
The USS Iowa is now moored in the busy port of Los Angeles where massive container ships are constantly being loaded and unloaded.

Golden Gate Skies
Here's an unusual view of the famous Golden Gate Bridge, taken during our California trip back in May. It's a Skywatch Friday entry, and an early post for Sunday Bridges.

Strange Sky Photo
Before reading further, can you guess what and where this is?
In case you can't figure it out, I won't leave you in suspense. It's the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, one of the places we visited on our vacation a couple of weeks ago - you probably haven't seen it like this before! I'm leaning out, looking straight up a support cable, which is actually four cables close together. It's my Skywatch Friday entry this week, and I'm also linking it to the Ein Stück Himmel (a piece of heaven) meme, and to the Sunday Bridges meme in a few days.

Middelburg Swinging Bridge
Here's an old scanned and cropped slide from 1976, of a swinging bridge in Middelburg, Holland. It would swing out of the way for boats to pass.
I'm linking up to Sunday Bridges and Vintage Weekly with this post.

Severn Bridge
Continuing with a 1975 trip to England and Wales, here's a photo of the famous Severn Bridge which links the two countries.
It may be an old and less-than-perfect photo, but it's my entry this week to both Vintage Weekly and Sunday Bridges.

Road and Trail Bridges
On a winter hike last December I took these bridge photos for the Sunday Bridges meme. There are lots of interesting shadows so I'm also linking it to the Shadow Shot Sunday meme.

Incomplete Busan Bridge
When we were in Busan, South Korea, back in 1998, I loved this view near the water including an incomplete bridge.
I'm linking this old scanned print to both Vintage Weekly and Sunday Bridges.
