Taken while taking my dog for a walk in the local park today, about a mile and a half from the house. The first one reminds me of a line from an old Yes song, "mountains come out of the sky and they stand there."
I love that Colorado blue sky.

Spam
Unfortunately I've been getting spam posts linking to malware sites. So I've added a word verification step to comments; hopefully it will eliminate that, especially if it's being done by automated programs. (Not that I'm getting many comments anyway...)

North Cheyenne CaƱon
It's almost hiking season again, so I took the kids on a short hike in the not-snowy part of Cheyenne Canyon this morning. The light was flat so the pictures weren't great, but it was nevertheless very enjoyable.
I found the following interesting, halfway up a mountainside. It's a backhoe, apparently being used to repair the trail.

Lunar Eclipse
We had a total lunar eclipse tonight. This is where I wish I had a great telephoto lens, something like a high quality 500mm, but that's not in the budget for the foreseeable future. So I'll just have to make do with what I have and crop it.

Snow In Creek
I haven't posted in a couple of weeks so I went outside to get a couple of shots of the remaining snow in the creek bed behind our house. They're not the most spectacular photos but at least they're something new to look at.
