Soccer Gull

This was taken last fall at my granddaughters' soccer game. It looks like some kind of gull to me, but I'm not convinced since I live in Colorado.
Lots more furry and feathered friends can be found at the Camera Critters meme.

  1. It does look like one of our gulls, but I'm not sure what it's doing in Colorado????? Although, I'm not sure ours have the black on their wings?? Have to check it out. Terrific capture as always, though, regardless of who he/she is! Enjoy the weekend!

  4. It looks like a gull to me, or at least like the ones we see here in New Zealand. I love the vivid blue of the sky against the bird. It's a great shot.

  5. Gulls are found in all 50 states. Turns out they like landfills as much as the ocean. They do need a river or lake nearby.

  11. It's definitely a gull...we see them a lot here in North Texas near our reservoirs and landfills...seems they adapt well that way ...kind of like the raccoons of the avian world!

  12. A beautiful shot it is. Probably headed to the nearest dump... or are they called landfills?
