Here in the U.S.A. there is a great sense of patriotism, and one of the ways this is shown in the love of our flag. At my son's high school graduation ceremony a couple of weeks ago, this huge flag was behind the stage. Look at the flag's size compared to the podium and chairs!
This respect is even more profound in a military town like the one in which we live. And this is my entry for Tina's PicStory theme of "F", and for Our World Tuesday.

ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic - I believe this must be at the Air Force Academy, where the large flag is entirely appropriate, actually special, big enough to see in this venue before play begins on the floor. Excellent!

ReplyDeleteJuxtaposing it against the tiny chairs certainly gave a sense of scale. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian living 30 miles south of Montreal, we made many trips over the border. I always found something romantic in the stars and stripes of the American flag. Yes, it definitely is huge and most impressive!
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that surprised me the most when I visited America was the size of the flags. I have seen nothing to compare anywhere else in the world. Thanks for sharing this photographic reminder.
