Here are some photos from last Wednesday of a smoky sunset. This time the smoke was from a fire in the southwest part of our state, but it was smoky enough at our house that we kept our windows closed. It made for a bright orange sunset.
These are straight out of the camera, I did no editing of any type. They're for the Skywatch Friday meme.

ReplyDeleteWow - stunning!
ReplyDeletefantastic ! really nice ..
ReplyDeletebeautiful sunset photo, unfortunate circumstances though
ReplyDeleteThe photos are amazing, but what a tragedy fires are. I'm sorry you had to be evacuated from your house. It must be awful! Be safe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset, but I sincerely hope that our skies will be free from smoke the rest of the summer!♥♫
ReplyDeleteAn awesome way to end a day, Al!! Superb captures Have a great weekend -- hopefully with no more fires!!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning shots, Al!
ReplyDelete(I'm very sorry for smoke you are experiencing & cause of it, though!)
ReplyDeleteAmazing and beautiful! Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteA great SWF post!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Sorry about the fires and smoke, but the orange sunset sky is beautiful. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteNicely captured images.
ReplyDeleteAmazing sky and sun photos! Wow! Happy Day. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWow! gorgeous sunset.
ReplyDeleteWhen i see red sunsets, i kept thinking, a lot of pollution is in the air. I just finished compiling a file of sunsets for my screensaver, even if they are all from my 5th Floor Window. Oh you should see the supermoon shot in Malaysia when there was still smoke from Indonesia's fire! It was so very red, which i haven't seen for a moon yet.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful!! But I don't like that it is caused by smoke. I wish the damn wildfires would just LEAVE COLORADO ALONE!
ReplyDeleteAmazing sunset! And with a ring around the sun. Hope those fires are under control soon.
ReplyDeletegorgeous sunset
ReplyDeletebut i am sorry to hear about the fire
that is hard to live with and better not to breathe.
Wow : awesome colors.
ReplyDeleteSmoke in the air certainly enhances the colour red. Very vibrant shots.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to see the wildfire, but it gives your a stunning sunset.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
One of these days smoke from American wildfires seem te reach Europe, I heard.
A fire, even at a distance can have quite an influence on air quality! But they give quite intense pics -beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier this week:)
Smoke/smog certainly makes beautiful sunsets!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing, especially knowing there was no editing!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a sunset! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe smoke does occasionally make for beautiful sunsets! We were lucky that most of it had cleared when we visited CO week before last.
ReplyDeleteSad, but still nice photos!
ReplyDeleteWe are just a few miles away from a big fire at the moment. The smoke is blowing in the wrong direction to have an impact on the sunset.
Beautiful pictures of a smoky sunset but dramatic because it is caused by smoke and fire...
