Stanley Canyon Part II

Finishing up my series on Stanley Canyon, the trail can be quite steep at times, even a little challenging.
Yes, the trail leads over the rock outcropping in this next photo (lean to the right if you're uncomfortable). Socks had no trouble, he just scrambled right up (and down on the way back).
The wildflowers were pretty.
At the top is a reservoir, but it was almost empty when we were there.
This photo shows a view back down the narrow canyon.
And here's another view.

  1. Looks like a great hike. I'd like the rock climbing, and of course, the wildflowers.

  2. Terrific captures of such a beautiful place, Al!! I know you and Socks had a great hike!! Thanks as always for sharing the fun and the beauty!! Hope your new week is off to a great start!!

  3. Pretty views...some treacherous looking spots on the hike...but oh so worth it once the reservoir comes into view!!!

  4. The trail does look like a challenge! But worth taking!!

  5. A pretty walk with Socks.. I love the reservoir and the last view! Have a happy week!

These photos "translate" our fantasy. Because there is a "light of your heart" in your blog.

  11. It's great to hike and seek adventure. Caution must be strictly observed fir other hand. I used to hike several years ago. Now that I 'm in Russia, all I hike to are snow piles and ice hills :). Beautiful scenery and wonderful pictures.

  12. Just stunning photos of Stanley Canyon, Al!
So good and so nice to have a companion like lovely Socks!
Gorgeous the view back down the narrow canyon.

    Um panorama maravilhoso da natureza!
Mas, até aí, onde é praticamente inacessível, a água também está secando!...
É sinal de alerta para todos nós.
    Desculpe-me o desabafo.

    Ótima quarta-feira!
