Last time we were in California we spent a couple of days in the Monterey area, and drove the famous 17-Mile Drive. Here are some photos from the Point Joe area on that drive.
It's a rocky, beautiful coast.
Some cypress trees grow near the shore, and there's golfing (the famous Pebble Beach course is in this area).
You can even see sea-lions on nearby islands. There's more to come from this area next week...

Hello, that was one of my favorite place to visit in California. We saw some deer on the golf course. Wonderful photos and visit. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteAnd sea otters? Did you see any sea otters? One of the things I love best about Monterey is the sea otter colony, but I love your shot of that solo tree. Is it a madrona tree? And of course the sea lions...another of my favourite creatures. It's been quite a few years now since my last trip to the Monterey coast, on one of my John Steinbeck pilgrimages. Thanks for the lovely photos, bring me many wonderful memories.
