When we were in Monterey I took a little drive down the famous Pacific Coast Highway, which runs along the rugged coastline. It's got lots of little bays like this one.
The morning was foggy (common in this part of the world) so the light was flat, but I took what I could get.
There's more to come from this drive.

You had a great time on this drive through one of the great places for ocean scenery. Wonderful shots. I would love to be there right now.
ReplyDeleteSome inviteing looking places to visit
ReplyDeleteMaking me homesick for the Pacific Coast Al!! (Fog is even more common 'up North' from where you were, in Oregon -- "Our" coast!)....... Beautiful pictures ... I would not have noticed any problem with the light ... and in spite of my first sentence, I loved seeing this familiar Coastline. Thanks for sharing the trip!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these views. I've been to our rugged south west corner last week. Happy travels. I'm joining you today at Our World Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteAlthough we are archipelagic there are also portions of bigger landmass that can be called Pacific Highway, facing Pacific. And the coves and rock faces look like that too, although we have the bright sun not fogs!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing quite like a Highway 1 drive. :)
The Monterrey Coast is incredible! I have not explored it as I have wanted. Need to go back and see more. Not sure if you have been to Point Lobos but that is a place I want to go back.
ReplyDeleteThe rugged scenery is lovely!
ReplyDeleteSO BEAUTIFUL
ReplyDeleteIt's such a beautiful area isn't it? I always enjoy seeing different parts of nature through your beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI like it when it's misty like this.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
The first one looks as though the sea is falling off the end of the world.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite spots of my home state, great photos!
ReplyDeleteThe PCH is lovely no matter what the light is like! Thanks for giving us a taste ... you tease!
