The Tokyo Tower, or officially the Japan Radio Tower (日本電波塔), is one of Tokyo's most famous sights.
It was built in 1958 and is obviously inspired by the Eiffel Tower.
It's 1,092 feet (333 meters) high, and is built to withstand strong earthquakes and typhoons.
Next week I'll show you some views from the top.

Beautiful
ReplyDeleteDue to earthquakes I never think of Japan as having any tall structures.
ReplyDeleteMy watched an anime show where they had a fight at the sight of Tokyo Tower. I do think it's cool Japan has its own Eiffel.
ReplyDeleteYou went up to the top? My hearts pounding just thinking of that! What a beautiful tower and I’m glad to know it is built to withstand catastrophic weather and climate events,
ReplyDeleteYes ... very much inspired by the Eiffel Tower but the views will be much different and I look forward to seeing them. :)
