Laika
Here's our second dog, Laika. We got her from a family which left the country and couldn't take her, and she's adapted very well to us. She's very sweet with people she knows and loves going for long hikes, as well as curling up on (or under) a blanket.

Boats in Charleston
I was busy with family activities the last couple of weeks so I skipped blogging, but I'm back. Up next are some boats from when we were in Charleston last fall.
I love the swampy areas around Charleston.
There's quite a contrast between these two vessels!

Carolina Surfing!
California may be famous for surfing, but it's common on the East Coast too, as is paddleboarding.
These folks looked like they were enjoying themselves in the wavy water.

Our First Dog
Here's a current shot of our first dog, Socks. He's 12 years old, and while he's turning grey and getting a little hard of hearing, he still loves to play and go for walks. A couple of weeks ago he happily hiked five miles with me. Next week I'll show you our other dog.

Folly Beach Pier
