Hi Al...Looks like a lovely morning..the beginning of a lovely day!! That tree looks like it has had a knotty life : } Amazing determination this tree has...great photo!! Enjoy the weekend!! Grace
The tree with the right angle branch reminds about how Indians used to bend a tree this way. It had some meaning, but I just can't remember what it was about. I'm sure it will come to me in the middle of the night sometime! That's how it goes with my brain. I love the color and texture of the bark. We just need to be able to smell that pine.♥♫
It certainly does qualify for Scenic Sunday~ (of course it isn't very hard to find qualifying places where you live ;>) . I really do love that gnarly tree.
what beautiful pictures. that knotted tree is incredible. it's amazing how nature can emulate human life and its knotted moments... hope all is well. have a great night~
What a nice parc to walk in. Love this old and beautiful tree. Thanks for your comment...I wish I could send some rain clouds to you. Rain damages houses and roads here now.

Born in London, I've lived in The Netherlands, New York, and Washington DC. Now I've settled down in Colorado and love taking pictures. Until October 2014 I used a Nikon D40X, but now it's a Nikon D5300. I do almost no photo editing - occasionally I will crop or remove a dust spot, but that's all. What comes out of the camera is what you see here.
