We've had quite the variety of weather this week, everything from warm, springlike sunshine to snow and bitter cold. For Skywatch Friday, here are some of those snow clouds obscuring Pikes Peak, taken from Garden of the Gods during my lunch hour yesterday
Lots of sky and not much definition, they're definitely not photos I would hang on my wall, but I still think they're pretty.

Old South Korean Village
When we were in South Korea back in 1998, we visited a preserved village. Here is the first of a series of photos from it, an old mill.
It's my Vintage Weekly entry.

Winter at Red Rock Canyon
I've posted photos from Red Rock Canyon before, but it's a perfect place to go for a hike in the winter so here are some more. I love the folds in the huge rocks.
This trail winds between a large outcropping and some trees.
The size of this rock doesn't come across in the photo, but look at the trees near its base.
Here are more rocks folded up by the incredible forces at play in the past.
I love the colors - the park is loaded with brilliant oranges, greens, and blues year-round.
It's right next to the city but you feel like you're in the wilderness.
I know it's a long post but there's so much beauty here.
This hike was actually last February, almost a year ago, but I never got round to posting the photos. So here they are for Scenic Weekends and Orange Friday. And this won't be my last post from Red Rock Canyon Open Space.

Magic Kingdom at Night
When I was at Disney World for my daughter's wedding I took a few photos at night. First are a couple from the Tomorrowland area.
It's Disney so it's going to look nice.
But my favorite area was the castle, which was all decked out in its holiday lights. The photo doesn't give an idea of the size, but the lampposts at the bottom give some scale.
Tina's PicStory theme this week is light, and these are also for Our World Tuesday.

Contrail
Here's a simple photo with a lovely blue sky, pine trees, and the contrail of an airplane flying very high over Colorado.
It was taken at Fox Run Park, and it's for Skywatch Friday.

South Korean Countryside
Here's a photo I took on a train between Busan and Seoul of the lovely countryside in South Korea.
It's a scanned print from 1998 so I'm linking it to Vintage Weekly. And I'm also linking it to the new Scenic Weekends meme, since Scenic Sunday seems to be going away.

Glowing Sunrise
A few weeks ago I was getting ready to head out to the office when I saw clouds off to the east that portended a fine sunrise. So of course I had to wait with camera in hand.
And sure enough, that gap between the clouds and the eastern horizon gave us that classic fiery sunrise glow.
And we certainly got an intense glow this time!
All photos are straight out of the camera for Skywatch Friday and Orange Friday.

Sandia Peak
A couple of weeks ago I promised to post some photos from the top of the tramway near Albuquerque that goes to the top of the Sandia Mountains. On the other side the terrain isn't as rugged and there's a ski resort (since I was there in May it wasn't operating).
But the terrain on the front side is very unforgiving.
It was hazy due to wildfires so the views were somewhat obscured.
But I did do a little hiking, and would love to go back on a clear day with more time to explore.

Cold Skies
I think there's a unique crystalline quality to a cold winter morning right after a fresh snow.
After the storm clears out we get those lovely Colorado blue skies. My attempt to capture this at the nearby Fox Run Park early last Friday is my Skywatch Friday entry this week.
