My Peak Moods photos are taken from my front porch, usually in the morning when the light is good. This one shows the first real snow of the winter on Pikes Peak, late last week.
Oh, Al, you did take my breath away with this capture!!! How Awesome it is!!! Thank you so much for sharing the beauty!! Hope your week is going well!! Give the doggies a pat for me! Enjoy the remainder of your week -- camera in hand, of course!!!
The Peak looks fine with snow on it. We had snow flurries here on the prairie today, but nothing lasted on the ground. It sure felt like a major change of season.
We did take the cog to the top last week, Al. It was 22 degrees F up there and very windy, with snow on the ground. Beautiful to see the difference from our summer drive up the mountain.

Born in London, I've lived in The Netherlands, New York, and Washington DC. Now I've settled down in Colorado and love taking pictures. Until October 2014 I used a Nikon D40X, but now it's a Nikon D5300. I do almost no photo editing - occasionally I will crop or remove a dust spot, but that's all. What comes out of the camera is what you see here.
