Downtown Bellevue Park

Bellevue, Washington (near Seattle) has a nice downtown park. Here are some photos, focusing on the water features.
You can see lots of other parts of our planet by visiting the excellent Our World Tuesday meme.

Fox Run Socks

It's been too long since I've posted a photo of Socks. Here he is at nearby Fox Run Park, where we regularly go for walks. He's probably wondering why I posed him on the rock!
Doesn't he look happy in this second shot?
He's a great hiking companion, he was scrambling up rocks with me on a hike last weekend as we climbed a very steep canyon trail! Visit Pets Forever and Camera Critters for lots more photos.

Greenwood Stream & Trees

Here are the last photos from a hike to that abandoned settlement, starting with a stream that we crossed at the start of the hike.
Here's another view of the same spot.
I always love the tall pine trees on almost every trail around here.
Even when they are past their expiration date!
I'll end up linking this with Scenic Weekends in a few days...

Wolphaartsdijk

Here's another Dutch harbor from when I lived in Holland, this one at Wolphaartsdijk.
It's a scanned slide from 1976; this may be a copy of a photo that my father took rather than one of mine. Visit Vintage Weekly to see more old photos.

Last Week's Skies

Here are two skies from last week that I photographed from our house. First some sun rays near sunset.
And the next day looking in the other direction, a full rainbow. It's actually a double rainbow if you look carefully.

These are my Skywatch Friday entries for the week. And I was finally able to get a few more lightning shots this week too, but I'm saving those for later!

Mountains Near Aspen

Here's a scanned 1995 slide, taken while camping near Aspen.
I'm linking it to Vintage Weekly and a meme that's new to me, Blue Monday.
