Near my part of the world, in downtown Colorado Springs, there is some type of artwork on many of the sidewalks. Here are a couple of pieces I enjoyed last time I was there. The first is simply called Airing, by Alex Corno, from Italy.
And I believe this second is probably The Catbird Seat, by Bill Noland.

I wish I had paid more attention to the artwork when I was in Colorado Springs. Other things on my mind I guess ...

ReplyDeleteAiring is an interesting piece but I very much like the catbird seat.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing art installations in public places especially on street corners, etc. They add to the excitement and interest in the city.

It's always fun to see the sculptures various cities have for public display. I wonder how the choices are made and what they represent for the city...since I won't know the reasons, I'll just enjoy the choices.
