It's time to visit My World Tuesday again and see many interesting things from around our small world. Here are a couple more sculptures from downtown Colorado Springs. This first one is called Double Eagle and it's by Jim McCain. I really like the curves on this one and how the two eagles fit together.
The second is Bison “Bison Americanus” by Richard Jagoda. It's a very interesting contrast with the huge animal full of holes making it much lighter.
I need to go back downtown and spend more time walking around, there's lots more to see.

I like the bison...although I'm sure a real bison looks a lot meaner than that! The smooth lines of the eagle sculpture are beautiful, too :D
ReplyDeleteWhat great sculptures! And your photos are terrific as always, Al! I, too, love the smooth lines of the eagle. Hope you have a great week!

Beautiful sculptures - I really like the eagles.
ReplyDeleteLoved the bison more. Great capture.

Two beautiful and very different sculptures; I favor the double eagle. Could it be mother and chick.
ReplyDeletealoha,
ReplyDeletethis was a very nice tour of these sculptures, i love the bison the best thanks for sharing it.
help me decide on a photo from my plant fanatic blog, if you don't mind?
some very nice sculptures. would certainly make one visiting the area stop and take a second look. hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit it, but I haven't been "downtown" in CO Springs. These are interesting sculptures - such detail in the Bison. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteMolto belle queste sculture...
ReplyDeleteBuona giornata.
Fantastic animal sculptures. Very different.
ReplyDeleteJust amazing sculptures, Al! The bison is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting sculptures. And such a sharp contrast to the textures and materials.
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful photos. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat art work, so nicely done.
ReplyDeleteman i love sculptures. Both of these are great but I dig the buffalo more. I've been living in the south way too long and miss my western roots. My grandparents had a farm and horses and cattle when I was boy and there is something so calming about these animals they are so stoic.
ReplyDeleteThe two sculptures are so different from each other in style, and they both look great!
ReplyDeleteWeel done, nice photos
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week,
Bram
Seen on My World Tuesday
I love the bison best! that is so cool.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll find it interesting: Jagoda means blueberry. Anyway I like the eagles, so non naturalistic.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! The tree makes the second one look like a giant 'chia bison'.
ReplyDeleteCiao Al,these are truly two beautiful works! I love the bison is the real ones and those carved!
ReplyDeleteMany years ago ( more than 30 year) I was at a park near the Niagara falls. A bison was giving birth. it was incredible. The keepers were trying to keep the others away.
