Hi Al...Wild roses are far more enjoyable then then the ones I slave over in the garden : } A dented Ladybug??? Sounds like it is a car that has been in a accident!! lol : } Grace
Love the beautiful, colorful flower! And how often to you get to see a dented ladybug!!! Great shots for the day, Al! Hope you and Socks have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!
The ladybug is battered but unbowed! I love those bugs outside, but in the Fall they have a tendency to pop into our RV uninvited and I don't love them so much inside -- one at a time is OK -- you can take them out and let them fly away home, but when you have more than a few it's a disaster.
Actually, it's a peak of dry season here in my town, and that wildfire on Kacapi mountain is an annually ritual. Anyway, it's a nice pic of your wildflower. well done!
I see the ladybug on the wild rose, hiding. The rose is beautiful! Then that closeup is awesome! But, I wonder how his/her back got dented! That's so odd!

Born in London, I've lived in The Netherlands, New York, and Washington DC. Now I've settled down in Colorado and love taking pictures. Until October 2014 I used a Nikon D40X, but now it's a Nikon D5300. I do almost no photo editing - occasionally I will crop or remove a dust spot, but that's all. What comes out of the camera is what you see here.

Wild roses are so beautiful - it looks like a couple of tiny critters got caught in the shot ...
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a dented ladybug before. I wonder how that happened???
