Emerald Valley

Here are the last of my photos from Sunday's hike in the Emerald Valley area, off Gold Camp Road just west of Colorado Springs.
Near the beginning of the trail we found a ruined cabin.
We crossed a small stream a couple of times.
The fallen leaves made for a beautiful trail.
It was a lovely hike, and the photos qualify for both Scenic Sunday and a meme I don't believe I've joined before, Weekend Reflections.

    What a beautiful walk you've taken us on today, Al!! I love the golden colors, the lovely reflections in the water and that wonderful old fireplace! Don't you wish it could talk!! Have a great weekend!

    Hi Al..I am still out here somewhere..thought it was time I stopped by!!
    Lovely scenery shots of Emerald Valley in these 3 post!! The Aspens are gorgeous color
    I also see you mentioned that naughty word "SNOW" ..lets just dwell on the beauty of the Autumn leaves for now okay lol!!

    amazing how the fireplace remains. In the Christchurch Earthquake, the stair well is the strongest.

    The reflected sky makes a beautiful addition to the muted tones of the creek bed. The whole area is astonishingly picturesque - I'm sure you'll be back!
